Hello my Dear Friends! It’s a hot summer evening and I shall write this post today no matter how late it will be, because shame on me, I’m very late with these thanks! I want to thank my blog friends Avis and Jane who have sent to me amazing presents!
Once I said to Avis from ‘Oh Sew Tempting’, that I don’t think I have ever made cross stitching. I think we must have made something at school, because we tried everything, but I can’t remember. After a while Avis wrote to me and said that she likes to sent to me a present! And look what I received! All these goodies!
She sent to me a kit to make cross stitch cards! There is everything – cards, needle, threads, designs and even some tiny beads! She had made special designs and one with my name! I have tried … don’t say that I have done my best, but still tried! This is fun but needs concentration because those holes in the ‘fabric’ are really small and it’s not easy to count them for the design. I began with Avis design but then I realized that I just have to practise first, so I started to make flowers and leaves … I think for this first experience I just fill my card with colourful flowers and green leaves.
I know that doesn’t look much yet, but I have been busy … really! Thank you so much Avis!!! These are all the time with me because I know that there will be moments that I’m away from home and just sitting and waiting something, so then it’s so nice to have this small (only in size) project with me! Avis has a wonderful blog and she makes so beautiful quilts! I have found so much inspiration and good ideas from her!
Then I was one of the lucky girls who won in Jane’s give away! Jane writes lovely blog ‘Jane’s Journal’ and she makes adorable jewelries and amazing cards!
I couldn’t have wished better present from Jane! Thank you so much!!! I like very much England and fortunately I have been there few times – just not enough! I won a bag charm where is a tea pot and a tea bag and England’s colours!
Now I just have to make a bag, beautiful enough to go with this lovely charm! I do need an evening bag, even perhaps there won’t be second night out this summer … but every girl needs to have an evening bag, or what. I just love this charm! And look the card she sent with the bag charm …
VisitJane’s beautiful blog and look around her lovely etsy shop, too! Lovely shop to find presents and unique cards! Thank you so much Jane!!!
Now it’s late … summer evening and we can hear music and sounds from celebration … poor Nero is affraid … better to go inside. But I couldn’t leave you without one crafty photo and let it be this time w.i.p at the moment on my sewing table …
… like I have any time for sewing, but this is a quick project! If it’s going to be like the idea in my mind, you will see more.
Thank you so much for your company today! Thank you for all your wonderful, sweet and unique comments! Thank you for being so darling friends!
Lovely things you’ve received, Teje! I was the lucky winner at Jane’s too (yippee!) and got the most beautiful card with my fab pin too. Lucky us! And the cross stitch – I suck at that but my Sis is a master. I’m sure you’ll do wonderful work soon, you crochet and so embroidery so great already!
Have a wonderful week, it’s the last for June ALREADY…Where did this moth go?
Thank you Mia! Yes we were so lucky and how fun we won together from Jane! This cross stitching is more difficult than I thought. Perhaps I need to find children’s kit first!
I can’t believe it’s already almost the end of June – I don’t feel that summer has really began yet, even it’s very hot.
Happy week to you! x Teje
I am so delighted you are pleased with the bag charm and card Teje. I so enjoyed my giveaway and I’m thrilled that you and Mia won! What lovely cross stitch you got too, you will get hooked on that I’m sure. You have done so well already. Have a great week and take care,
What lovely gifts. It is especially nice to get a surprise like the cross-stitch supplies. Sorry to hear Nero doesn’t like the noise of all the celebrations. My Nina is over 14 years old now and mostly deaf so noises never bother her. I can’t wait to see the bag you make to go with your charm.
Thank you Cindy! It is difficult with Nero, because he gets really worried and he wasn’t like that when he was younger. Foxy is also so happy because doesn’t hear almost at all and doesn’t care about noises!
Hi Teje. You have made a great start to cross-stitching the flowers. if you are finding the small scale tiring on your eyes, you could try 14 holes per inch aida fabric. I sent you 16 hpi as that is what I like to use myself. I’m so pleased you are happy with your goodies 😀 Avis x
Congratulations on all your lovely gifts, Teje! I love Jane’s jewelry and stylish card, and your cross stitch kit will be fun to make. Your stitching already looks very neat!
wishing you a wonderful week.
Indeed great gifts! To get such a beautiful personalized embroidery pattern is amazing.
The charm is lovely too, and I think only you can decide to make a bag to go with a charm; I guess most people do it the other way around.
Thank you Dorien! I like that bag charm so much and long time wanted one from Jane! But it doesn’t fit with my yellow-green summer bag, so I want new bag. Only I am now so busy that it looks impossible to find time for sewing. x Teje
Cross-stitch is a lot of fun. I haven’t done any in a while because I’ve been so caught up in making paper beads and sewing things, but there are a couple of cross-stitch projects that I really ought to get back to. 🙂
