Hello my Dear Friends!I’m having a coffee brake in the garden … in the shadow … with gentle wind … how nice! ‘Summer Sewing Contest’ is still going on and because I have finally made something I needed … hmmmm something like three years … I would like to enter ‘that’, too.
Can you see the dog? I can, but I don’t know from where it jumpped here!
I had a bird in my mind but there wasn’t enough space for a bird and her feet, so I picked this jumping dog which needs more narrow space.
Yes! You have guessed right – it is a case for my sun glasses, which I need several times a day! They didn’t fit in a hard case I had and I used one pouch of Marimekko. That didn’t protect them at all and even less my normal glasses which are very thin and without frames.
Today I felt that there was too much light in the sun and too less in the shadow. So I’m not really happy with the photos. Sun glasses are absolutely ‘must’!
I used wadding with thin cotton and quilted them with the linen. The lining I backed with the ‘fusible’ something …sorry I forgot the name … help me, how it’s called the thin material you iron to make the fabric more firm? Anyway with all these layers this case is enough sturdy to protect glasses.
I enjoyed stitching by hand some green leaves, pink flowers and ‘something’ on the dog.
Nero has been so happy and playful these last days, so we needed to take few photos together. He is next to me and try to make me play with his ball …balls!
I’m linking at ‘Little Quilt Monday’ with Elizabeth!
This was the scene through my sun glasses yesterday evening! I had two friends here from Finland and we had a wonderful dinner with this beautiful sunset! I know that our dear blog friend Jane is watching almost the same view these days on her holidays!
Happy Holidays to every one! Thank you for joining me today and leaving such a lovely comments! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and hopefully beautiful sunshine and sunset!
