Happy Hot Summer! Today we had from early morning already +35 degrees … can’t do much outside with Nero and the girls. Even the gentle wind is hot and dry. I’m lucky to work at home today and to show you my enter to ‘Summer Sewing Contest’. Jennifer from ‘Ellison Lane Quilts’ is hosting this wonderful contest!
This project was extemporaneous! Iwas trying to find inspiration for something … but the idea just didn’t come to me … then suddenly one day it came … ‘Summer Village’ …
I wanted to make a table cloth, but something new and different. I had houses in my mind but first I thought that they will be blocks … fortunately I found and other way.
Here is the beginning. Because it is a table cloth, I thougt I could try now this method, which is very interesting, fun and easy!
Just simple sik sak around the patches and then some quilting around the patches to catch the top with the lining.
I have missed for a while purple! Who knows why but now I enjoyed sewing and seeing it!
‘Summer Sewing Contest’ has 4 categories, so be sure when you visit Jennifer’s wonderful blog, you roll down to see all the fantastic works! Categories are Quilts, Bags & Accessories, Home Decor and Clothing!
Thank you for stopping by! Thank you also for all your lovely comments and stories in Nero’s last post!
