Hello my dear Friends! Often it’s all about scraps – at least here at Nero’s Post! So many of my works are made with small patches and scraps. When I found out that Rachel from ‘Stitched in Color’ is hosting a ‘Festival of Scrappiness’ I knew that I want to be part of that fun!
What a perfect time, because I have just finished this quilt top made with scraps. Quilt tops are so beautiful in the sun and from the back side! Even I love bright colours, I’m really happy with these blue-brown-grey-white blocks.
And the front … you may wonder how the sashing goes like that, but I made it on purpose ‘free’ style and left the blocks to be different sizes. The order for the blocks … hmmm you could say that it should be perhaps different, and it was supposed to be a little bit different … but some where during the process I managed to mix my lines … can’t understand how it happened.
It will be nice to see how this quilt top will look after quilted by hand. It always change a lot. On the sky it looks beautiful even without quilting!
In this wonderful festival, we can show more than one quilt or quilt top and I will add there also the ‘Pink Bird’ baby quilt and the small quilt ‘Parasols’.
Now, please join me and lets go to visit the ‘Festival of Scrappiness’ and see all those amazing quilts that so many talented people have created!
I think this blue and brown quilt has country colours – could I name it ‘Country Quilt’ … or perhaps ‘Nero’s Country’ because it has almost Nero’s colours, too!
Thank you so much for your visit and your sweet comments! I am so happy that you take the time to write and engourage me! I wish you lovely end of the week and hope to see you soon!
