It’s amazing what we can find if we just look close enough!
Hello my Dear Friends! How nice to be with you again – after an unexpected pause! First I want to thank you for visiting me and writing all those so appreciated, sweet messages! I enjoy reading every one of them!
I had planned to write to you in Wednesday … in the morning, when thinking what to post about, I took this painting outside …
I have made it few years ago and I enjoyed so much ‘mixing’ those blueberry colours! I miss blueberries and that purple looks so delicious – just like those berries inside. I have made the frame with wood. Then I painted it with dark green and before that colour dried, I passed over it some bronze colour.
… so now it’s Friday … Wednesday I just hadn’t any free moment to write …
… yesterday … an other story … my computer got an infection! and viruses! and warms! and someone ‘unknown was attackting’ it! yakh! All those awful things didn’t let me to go to internet so I had to take the computer to the ‘doctor’.
And that means that I had to go to town … hhmmmm … how I was thinking that I could need some yarn … I wanted to do make-over for one jacket and I was lucky to find really well matching yarn!
This acrylic yarn is soft and has very good price (here), also it has many beautiful colours. I would love to mix them all and make a jacket! You can’t see exactly the right colour because there is just TOO MUCH LIGHT!
Few days ago I finally took a photo of our village, from the other side …
Till now you have seen my village and house from far left (there is the sea). This is on the way to the big village where I go to the super market, bakery and vegetable shop. Our village is on the right.
Someone else had also nice walk even I don’t think she cared much about the wonderful view or the flowers …
I think this photo became quite amazing! I wish I could do as well with the computer … ggrrrr (lots of them). Now the ‘doctor’ has fixed the computer and it’s much better and more quick! But everything is different – he couldn’t know how I have learnt to use it or that I can’t find many simple things if they have been changed. First I had a big problem with photos, they just didn’t show and all of them were mixed up – I couldn’t find anything. Now fortunately I have found something but still many things are much more complicated. Oohhh how I miss our good friend who is a real specialist in this matter!
Morning light is wonderful!
Also I want to tell you that unfortunately I am still ‘no-reply’ for some of you. There has been again conversation about this matter and I think it’s clear now that blogger and wordpress doesn’t work well together. Even I have all my settings ok, still for you with ‘blogspot’ address, I’m ‘no-reply’. If you like to reply my comments, please visit my blog and leave a comment or look my e-mail from up on my sidelist. I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to make an easy ‘button’ for e-mail. I don’t know which ‘widget’ works for that. When someone leaves a comment to me, I like to go for a visit and see what she has been doing and leave my comment there!
Something – quite much in fact – has changed in ‘Maherida’ Holiday Apartments! I hope you would like to see more … you are so welcome for a visit! I wish I could offer you some fruits, coffee and cinnamon buns!
This for today … I have many things going on … painting some woods … final stitches for a quilt … and unfortunately we can’t avoid the laundry but I enjoy hanging the laundry outside in the sun! Perhaps I ‘steal’ a moment with new issue of ‘Marie Claire idees’ in the sunny garden …
I wish you perfect weekend with wonderful spring weather, so you can enjoy your gardening, lovely walk or what ever you love to do!
Hi Teje, lovely purple colours and some great photos here. I am glad you have sorted out your computer, how did we manage without them?! It is such glorious weather here…23oc in the shade today and I am sitting in my garden thinking I may need to move into the shade…we are competing with Crete! Enjoy your sun, we are promised a bar-b-q weekend here…bliss!
Hello Jane! I’m so happy to hear that you have lovely weather! My sister told the same from south England. Here it’s not so warm; it was sunny day but not warm enough to sit outside because of the strong wind. Never mind, there will be many days for that. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your b.b.q! Teje
Dear Benta, you’re right, Im making the sleeves longer. I don’t know why this old knitted (bought) jacket is so comfortable. Now I took it again from the store and had inspiration to fox it. I think it’s even a little bit felted because washed so often. I shall make ‘grannies’ to the hem and also to crochet all aroung. I’ll show it when it’s ready. Have a wonderful weekend! Teje
Thank you so much! I look so much more around me now when I can share everything with my blog friends. The nature is full of flowers and beauty especially in this time of the spring! But sometimes I’m too shy to take a photo like yesterday when lots of sheeps passed me. I took a photo of the sheeps but didn’t dare about the man with his black dog. I wish you wonderful weekend! Teje
AH!! I caught my breath at the very first picture. How amazing are the creations of the earth. How complex and bold and alien and beautiful!! You have done so well, playing with the color. The painting with the purple flowers – the light – the village – everything. Breath-taking every step. And the walk you must take to the store? WONDERFUL. I love the trim on the jacket, and I believe I could, in fact, see the colors. But I know what you mean about too much light. And I know how frustrating computers can be – which is why I use a Mac. I have not had these problems for thirty years. Having someone rearrange your computer is like having someone come into your house and change everything. Thank you for this post. Thank you.
Hi! Thank you so much for your lovely message! I think slowly I learn to ‘look close enough’! Colours are very important to mee and I enjoy them so much! I do wish I could have Mac – I started with that when working in an architect office in Finland. Here we couldn’t choose that because it would have been too difficult to find any help – too bad! You are so right that it feels strange that someone strange works with your computer. I wish you wonderful weekend! Teje
That painting is really incredible! I too like the way you mixed the colors and that frame is the icing on the cake! And I am always so amazed at how beautiful your gardens are. So happy and bright! Have a great weekend!
The photos of the flowers and the blueberry painting are beautiful. I love the color of the yarn. I bet it will make a great jacket. Sorry to hear about your computer. That is no fun. Glad to hear it was fixed!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. It is always so nice when you do!
Sorry to hear about your computer problems; I’m glad it is okay now. Again, your pictures are beautiful. You have such a great eye to see the beauty in everything, and you know how to make a beautiful picture of it. Since purple is my favourite colour, I really love the painting you show. I’ve always known Greece is beautiful, but ever since you show all these pictures of Crete, I have been nagging with my husband to go there for a holiday!!
WELCOME AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR VISIT!
