I have often very cute, little visitor in the shop. He loves colours and you can guess that there are lots of colours in my shop for him to watch. I wanted to make a little, colourful, soft gift for him … something he could hold in his little hands.

happy fabrics

I was thinking what I could sew by hand in the shop. Thinking of one hexagon pincushion, made with triangles, I started to pick colourful fabrics. But then the ‘light switched on’ – hexagons! I have my hexagon Project-BOX in the shop … why not make something with hexagons!

what you need to make hexagons

This is so perfect small project for summer! you don’t need sewing machine or any cutting tools. All you need is fabric, scissors, thread, needle and paper (templates for hexagons). Filling can be the same as there is…

… because I made it to use at work. I carry always many things with me + materials for projects to make at work, so I need big bag It’s better to have everything in one than to carry many bags

This was the beginning of the Project. As you see I changed again my mind and didn’t use the burlap for outside pocket as I have thought. I prefered not to cover this very Special linen with angels.

This was the next ‘material collection’. Finally all the Materials I used were from friends, so this is also Special ‘friend’ bag! Blue angel linen is a present from a dear friend and I have saved it for a Special Project. The same goes with the dark, thin…

Hi Dear Friends! I’m happy to tell you that our shop is open! We have been so busy these last months, so now you know why I haven’t been sewing lately. Please welcome to ‘Trikimia’!

Trikimia's Shop

There is still very much to do until we can say (if ever) that the shop is ready, but we are on a good way and can finally say that we are open. We had already even few lovely clients, so lets hope the summer will be good.

Trikimia's Shop

Every day something change and we add NEW things. Also in these photos I see that many items are missing that we have put around yesterday. Also I see some things that I like to change some where else.

Hi Dear Friends! I’m happy to welcome you to my NEW sewing room! Just wish I could offer you apple pie with coffee!

Teje's sewing room

When you come to my sewing room, this is the First sight you have from the door. Room is not big but everything is now in order and it’s quite practical to work. I did a lot of thinking in the beginning and ended up to put the table in the middle. I have always my sewing machine on the leftside and the cutting place on the right, so like this the electricity cable comes easily from the back wall.

Teje's sewing room

There is very narrow window and the door to the balcony. I thought that how ever I put my table, I can’t see much out, so I prefer to have the wardrope behind me and the open selves front of me. Also I can have drawers on the back wall…

I’m so happy to join once again ‘Blogger’s Quilt Festival’, organized by Amy from ‘Amy’s Creative Side’. I want to send thousands of thanks to Amy for the huge work she does, when organizing this fantastic event! This is really important to all quilters and even more to us who live far away from our quilter friends.

Pin Nic on The Beach by Teje

I think many of us have this quilt festival on the ‘back of our mind’ through the whole year, wondering now and then what to share in the next festival. Sometimes I have had few quilts ready and had to decide which one to enter, but this time I was stitching until the last minute to finish my quilt in time.
