It looks like such a comfy cowl!
Thank you Ria! x Teje
It’s perfect Teje! and the models look very glamourous too
Thank you for the tutorial
Avis x
Thank you Avis! I’m so happy to have two models always happy to help! Without them it would be difficult so show any outfits. x Teje
I love it (and, of course the models!!!)!! It looks to be fuzzy yarn (mohair/angora???) It would be perfect for these Midwest icy breezes during the upcoming months! Thank you so much for the tute. It has, once again, become quite nice…..41F, no wind and sunny! Tomorrow….mid 30′s and freezing rain. Good day to stay indoors!! Hugs, Doreen
Thanks Doreen! I’m happy you liked the cowl and my models! I can see you on your bike and the fluffy cowl waving in the wind! We may have also tomorrow rain and we should start to collect the olives. I don’t mind sewing inside! Hugs, Teje
Oh, Teje, if only we were closer! I think we would have some grand times together!!! Uber hugs, D
I didn’t realise it was so cold in Greece that dogs need to keep warm. But you do look cool Nero!
Thanks Dianne! I’m always surprised that Nero is so willing to show my knittings! He has so beautiful cowl on his own that I shouldn’t hide it. x Teje
Hi Teje … you have a great pair of models there! If I had ever tried to get either of my furry friends to model a scarf or cowl they would not have been happy at all and wouldn’t have posed for photos! The cowl is beautiful – thank you for the tutorial.
Thank you Fiona! Nero is often busy to go around and doesn’t stay for a long time in one place, but when he is modelling he’s waiting as long as it needs! He’s a great blog partner and of course our best friend! x Teje
Hi Teje…What a neat cowl and with the perfect name. It looks soft as a cloud and so attractive on those very helpful, good looking models! Thanks for the tutorial, I am going to have a go at making one.
Thank you so much! It is very cloudy. I’m happy to say that I haven’t used it yet because it’s still very warm here. Yesterday we had B.B.Q. outside. x Teje
Hi Teje – I am Barbara and live in the Panhandle of TX, USA. I just recently found your blog about a week ago and have so enjoyed reading your thoughts and adventures. I see that you live in Greece. Is it cold there now. I really love this cowl and think I will try to make it in some of my Berocco Vintake DK. What do you think of a color combo of red and orange or is that to much. You said to use an English size of 0, would that be a large pair? Like 10 or 11? Oh also I think your model is a true beauty. The Blue with White brings out her eye color.
Take care my new friend!!
Hi Barbara! I’m so happy to hear you have enjoyed my blog! We don’t have yet too cold, don’t use the heating yet. But in winter time I need my Finnish winter coat and cowl. We don’t have usually under zero degrees but on the mountains there are snow and from the sea comes cold and wet air.
I was looking how that yarn you mentioned is, and they recommend needles n:o 6. I used n:o 8 and I think that could be good size for you, too to knit a loose cowl. My needle measure says that n:o 8 in metric size is n:o 0 in English size. I like to knit first a small piece to test the needle size. From that piece it’s also easy to count how many loops we need. Make for example piece with 20 loops. Knit a little bit and measure the width. My test piece for example is about 12 cm. If you want to knit 35 cm width piece, count 35:12 = 8,9 x 20 = 58. This is about because when knitting a bigger piece it’s not exactly the same as in the small test piece.
Red and orange sounds great, so warm and sunny color combo! I hope you enjoy your knitting! x Teje
Handsome Nero and Beautiful Hannah modelling your gorgeous cowl! Love the pics Teje and the tute! xo
Thank you so much Cathy, for your sweet comment! x Teje
A lovely cowl it is! As you know, I’m quite loving cowls myself, and to knit one this way is simply a gorgeous idea. Might try it someday. Thank you so much for sharing.
Lovely pictures again, especially the last one of Nero and Hannah together.
Thank you so much Dorien! You are so talented with knitting and I want to make a cowl with your latest pattern! x Teje
Thanks for the tutorial! I enjoyed it!
Thank you Sylvia, I’m happy to hear that! My grandmother was Sylvi! x Teje
That looks like a lovely cowl. I haven’t knitted any of those … yet! I’m sharing some socks and broken socks on my site today.
Thank you for your visit and comment! x Teje
What a great idea, wish I could knit! X
Thank you Benta! You can! Here you see how easy it is and so relaxing! You can make this same cowl also knitting all the time, every row ‘knit’ stitches! That makes lines and light fluffy knitting. I hope you try! x Teje
Thank you for sharing your project details. The shawl looks lovely on your pooches. They are both beautiful. Happy Fiber Arts Friday!
Thank you AllyB! Have a lovely weekend! x Teje
This is gorgeous! I love the two colours – it makes it very special. Thanks for linking up to Friday Felicities!
Thank you so much! It’s always fun to join your link party! x Teje
