Hi! I hope you had a great weekend! I met this cutie at the weekend …
We had a lovely lunch with dear friends at the fish restaurant and there are always many kittens around waiting to get their share.
This little girl was special; it had so beautiful fur mixed with some long hairs!
It was still beautiful weather and there were people on the beach … and something else … a sailing boat! We don’t know what has happened to this poor boat!
We were eating under the white roof and on the far left you see the sailing boat. In Marathi there are also lots of fishing boats.
All the morning was sunny and later there came some clouds … still no rain and the warm continues.
Even I’m not fan of sailing (I feel uncomfortable in boats and ships), I like to see boats … it’s fun to read their names … the first one is “My Dream”.
From the sewing table … I have made some coasters and I am preparing also tutorial for these. These are like mini quilts and if you haven’t made any quilt yet, by following my tutorial you can easily learn all the basics. These are made with patchwork blocks …
… and some more with raw edge applique … green/turquoise to match with this tea cosy …
… and of course also in orange to match with orange tea cosy!
And now some great links:
*Janice from ‘Better of Thread’ has made adorable block with Santa’s hat and then she made the most fun and beautiful pillow with four blocks! I love that! And she made also TUTORIAL for the block and pillow! I’m sure you love it, too!
* Faith from ‘Fresh Lemons’ has made fantastic star block and pillow with that! Also here you have TUTORIAL!
* If you like to see my Santa’s Hat block from last Christmas, it’s HERE. I made lots of mini quilts/mug rugs with different pictures. I made also TUTORIAL for the mini quilt/mug rug.
I hope you find inspiration for your Christmas sewings! I’m still trying to cope with my autumn sewings?! I have had beautiful scene on my sewing table and today I have cut also some ‘written’ fabrics …
Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comments! Soon it’s my turn at Laura’s Blog Hop with EPP = english paper piecing!

Aww… What a sweet kitty. Can I come by and pick her up
Oh well, not sure my furry friends here would approve of such a cute little lady anyway.
I like your coasters – great fabrics
Thank you Cille! I’m sure she would be more than happy to live with you! x Teje
That poor boat will need help getting back into sailing position. And, what a sweet kitty. Hard not to pick her up and cart her home, but maybe Nelli would need to be consulted first. Your colors are always so happy and fresh–like a spring morning.
Thank you! I felt also sad for the boat and it feels like mystery to see a boat like that. That kitten was super cute! x Teje
Lovely coasters! They would look great throughout our house, with all my butterfly illustrations these days. And what a beautiful little kitten! She looks quite curious and friendly. Oh my goodness, that boat is not in good shape. Wonder what happened. My parents used to have a sailboat, so I love being on the water. Now they have a power boat, which is almost as much fun.
Thank you Terri! That kitten was so beautiful and brave enough to come very close. Strange thing with boat – who knows what has happened. x Teje
Awww I love the little kitty! Maybe the captian of the sailboat had a few too many to drink and parked in the wrong space?? hehe
I love your coasters , as always they show your delightful style!!
Thank you Kate! Maybe he really lost his way or if he is not here and don’t even know what has happened to his boat. x Teje
Gorgeous coasters Teje! I’m waiting for the tutorial as I definitely need to learn how to do machine binding. I love hand stitching binding but it takes a long time to do. I enjoy seeing the boats especially the huge passenger ferries that go to Sweden and Norway from the port close to me. Avis x
Thank you Avis, I’m happy to hear you like them! Hand stitching takes a lot time and I’m worried if my binding would be strong enough. Do you use double thread or single? How exiting you see ships to go to Sweden and Norway! x Teje
Hi Teje, I use double thread and an invisible slip stitch with about six stitches per inch. I have washed quilts in the machine and they are fine
It is nice to see the ships. They pass by the cliffs where I go walking from my front door. I went to Norway on one of them when I was 10 years old with my school. It was a lovely adventure and Norway is a spectacular country. I’d love to go back on day. Avis x
I was watching a lovely documentary about different out of the way places in Greece and thought of you the whole time! The restaurant you’ve just visited on the beach was similar to some I saw on the tv programme.
Hi Carol! That sounds nice documentary – I’m happy you saw that! x Teje
I thought you were going to say you’d taken the little kitty home! Nero wouldn’t be very happy! I love your little coasters!
Thank you Dianne! I don’t think Nero would mind, he loves all little ones and Nelli, too! Our Nelli is a little bit wild and don’t leave anyone too close. x Teje
Lovely post but the best part???? those glorious seaside photos!! The snow outside my window (see my post today) makes me want to join you!!! Those trademark butterflies are still my fave!!!! Hugs, D
Thank you Doreen! I’m happy to hear you enjoyed these photos. Sometimes I feel should I show only sewing but I guess it’s nice to see also a little bit around. x Teje
Please, please, please….do NOT stop with the photos!! DH was in your “neck of the woods” when he was in the Navy and always spoke so highly of the area! Helps me to see just what inspired those feelings! Hugs, D
Such a cute kitty and I love your pictures of all the boats in the harbor!
