Hi and welcome! Here we are again in Sunday afternoon! When I was finding the right order for these little squares it reminded me about Patience. We used to play that at the computer before I started to quilt … and hb still does – he didn’t start quilting …
It took enough time to find right place for all these patches. Several times I had to mix all of them and start from the beginning till there was no patch left over.
This time I wanted to make the quilting also a little bit different and I stitched by hand a lot on the frames. It gives really nice three-dimensional feeling and beautiful shadows.
All the members of my quilt guild were there to help with photo shooting!
Nero wasn’t so interested – he had eyes and nose only for Foxy! Poor boy has to go again to the vet because the infection in his foot doesn’t stop. I guess there might be a small piece left from a dry thorn. “I don’t want to go to the doctor”!!!
Sorry Nero, I have tried everything and can’t do anything else by myself.
For the frame I chose the linen and white, because I wanted it to look like a framed painting.
Here it is on the outside wall but it will look the same inside – our walls have been made using only big stones.
I want to show you one of the cutest pincushions … do you like travelling … camping … LOOK HERE!
I shall be linking with my usual party friends: ‘The Handmade Parade’, ‘Manic Monday’ , ‘Fabric Tuesday’, ‘Linky Party Tuesday’, ‘Eat Grow Sew’, ‘Threading my way’, ‘Made by Me’ !
Thank you for your visit and all sweet messages you have wrote to me again!!! I wish you lovely Sunday evening and wonderful week!
TEJE
PS. I fixed the dog’s couch … and over it, next to my computer, I shall hang this new mini quilt!

It really does look like a framed picture. You did again a wonderful job. The quilting looks beautiful and to hang it on such a beautiful stone wall is just perfect. I hope Nero will get well again soon.

Thank you for your sweet words, Dorien! x Teje
Give Nero a big kiss for me! I’m sure the Vet will make him whole in no time. Your quilt is spectacular! Are you thinking of doing a tutorial of it? I would love to be able to make one like it.
xo Linda
Thank you Linda! I’ll kiss Nero for your! If you have patience, I could do a tutorial after the busy August has passed. x Teje
Love that tiny ‘jewel’! It looks so perfect on your stone walls! Do hope that Nero will see ‘better days’ in the near future! BTW, your choice of hand quilting is so appropriate on this! Hugs, Doreen
Thank you so much Doreen, for your wonderful comment! x Teje
Good afternoon Teje! Well, what can I say. Your little mini quilt has to be one of my favourites ever. It’s truly delightful. I love the colours, the clever border and those lovely shadows that dance across the fabric. You are one clever lady! I hope poor old Nero is back to his old self really soon. Give him a big stroke from me and a slobbery lick from Oscar. Have a good week. Ros
Thank you so much Ros! I will hug Nero and you for your sweet words! x Teje
I love the new quilt, and hope the foot feels better soon!
Thank you Koira! I just love your name (=dog in Finnish)! x Teje
Your new mini quilt is really lovely, Teje, and I’m glad that your quilt guild were all there to help with the photoshoot
Love the sweet pink flowers against the bright blue sky, such a pretty sight. We finally had a blue sky day here today at last too!!
Have a lovely week, and I hope Nero’s paw gets better soon.
Helen x
Thank you Helen, for your sweet words! That flower is Bougainvillea and after several years it finally starts to grow better and have more flowers. I love those thin, pink and white flowers! I’m happy to hear that you have also blue sky and sunshine! x Teje
Gorgeous little work of art for a beautiful setting
I hope poorly Nero gets his paw sorted soon! Good luck to the vet
Have a wonderful week Teje! Avis x
Thank you so much Avis! I tell your wishes to Nero. Now he is sleeping on my feet, because he was worried about the noise from the neighbour – they had Birthday party for 1 year twin girls! Happy week! x Teje
I love your little quilt, and the quilting is beautiful on it.
Thank you Leanne! x Teje
I love how your little wall quilt ‘jewel’ turned out. The hand quilting is super – really gives it a 3-dimensional feel. Hope Nero is better soon.
Thanks for sharing.
Gorgeous wall quilt, Teje!!! I love how you’ve framed it. Your hand stitching is just perfect and really finishes it off beautifully!!!
I love your quilt guild and your little quilt. I think it will look great above the dogs bed. Hope Nero gets his foot sorted out soon.
Cindy
A beautiful little quilt Teje, it looks fabulous on that wall. Get better soon sweet Nero. xo
A super little quilt. When I am arranging blocks and move them around and around I think of it like speed dating!
Love to Nero, hope you get his foot sorted x x
Thank you Benta, that’s a fun thought! x Teje
Boy, what a neat wall hanging! Do you use a frame when you hand quilt and how much time does it take you to complete the hand quilting? You’re lucky to get your guild members involved in at least some of the guild functions. My guild members only want to test the completed project for suitability by napping on it. I’ve got to get them better trained. Maybe tour tutorial will help. We look forward to it. Lovely photo of the Bougainvillea.
Thank you for your sweet comment! I don’t use a frame when quilting. I was quilting this mini quilt every evening this week, perhaps 1-2 hours; don’t know exactly. I stitched on the frame horizontal and vertical and that took much more time. I don’t think it makes big difference so next time I stitch straight lines around. I have now this quilt on the wall and I like it very much! Watching it gives me lots of thoughts to share in tutorial. I should finish the baby quilt first, but after that I make an other wall quilt with tutorial. Tomorrow we go to the vet with Nero – we are all already nervous about that! Because he is the most terrible patient there. x Teje
That is a wonderful little quilt. Your stitching is beautiful.
Thank you for your visit and comment! x Teje
That’s beautiful, I like how the neutral border brings out the very colourful centre.
Thank you Paula! I like also very much the border and can’t help thinking already to make more of these. x Teje
I am in love!!! What a beauty…
Thank you so much Zafeira! x Teje
Hi!! Love your quilt!! Love the qilting!! You`re good!! AnneK:-)
Thank you so much Anne, for your sweet words! x Teje
HI Teje, what lovely work. That must have taken some matching! Good to see all your dear pets watching over you and the sofa looks great. The sunshine has finally reached us here…fingers crossed it holds on until the weekend ;0)
Jane x
Thank you Jane! It’s The weekend and I send your lots of sunshine – you are in my thoughts! x Teje
Your mini quilt is delightful and your right about the texture and shadows being very interesting with the help of your hand quilting. And hope that Nero feels better soon! I know a trip the vet can stink, but sometimes that’s all that’s left to try. Have a nice week!
Thank you Christie! Tomorrow we’ll go to the vet and we are all nervous about that. Poor Nero, he needs to take first calming pills at home and still he will be in panic when he sees where we go. And then he needs to sleep for the operation and till the next day he’s feeling dizzy. And all that for a very small simple thing. Oh boy! I tell you later if the vet survived! x Teje
What a beautiful little quilt! I always love your work! Thanks for sharing.

Fabulous quilting and your stone walls I am so envious of!
Thank you so much Sara! x Teje
Your mini quilt is adorable. Love how you framed the wonderful selection of fabric for the square pieces. The hand quilting really makes your wall hanging sing! Great job!
Thank you Joanie for your sweet comment! x Teje
Very pretty quilt. I like the stitching and the mix of colors. I hope Nero’s foot is better. Thorns are bad news. We had a Sheltie growing up and he got one in his foot and they never could get all of it out completely. Hopefully the vet will fix him right up!
Thank you Linda for your always sweet comments! We were at the vet yesterday and he found the whole thorn under the skin! That could have never came out without help. Nero is still dizzy after all those drugs he needed to fell asleep, but now he should be fine quickly. Give hugs to your puppes! x Teje & Nero
So happy to hear he is better. I am glad to hear they got the whole thorn out. After Storm had surgery in June, she was dopey for a couple of days after.
Beautiful little quilt and nice hand quilting! That’s a lot of seams to quilt through. Your assistants (guild members) look very helpful.
Thank you Jeanne! It was quite much quilting but I knew it needs that for the result I had in my mind. I’m lucky to have always helpful company! x Teje
What a great job on that mini-quilt! I love your “quilt guild”, such loyal helpers. You did a fantastic job with the hand-stitching, very nicely done!
Thank you so much for your visit and most sweet comment! x Teje
Lovely quilt and such cute pictures of the pups and kitty! Thanks for helping me out today!
Thank you for your sweet comment! x Teje
What a lovely little quilt!
I hope poor Nero is feeling better!
Thank you Ria! Nero is now much better. Vet took a thorn away from his foot and now he has also recovered from the sleeping drugs. x Teje
I love your mini quilt. I have been making some too. They bring so much instant gratification.
Thank you Betsy! Mini quilts are so great fun – we can try what ever comes to our mind! xTeje
