I love seeing old buildings—-especially full ones. The 2 meat grinders look scary! Happy stitching : )
Thank you Carla! I was happy to find this lovely place from ‘old times’! It was nice to imagine those ladies working there, having their tea and there was even piece of lace under crocheting! x Teje
Great pictures!! I love seeing all the old medical things. The little town looks so clean and quiet!
Thank you Kerry! I could have spend long time there just looking those things! Finnish towns are so clean and often very quiet, too! x Teje
oohh… would love to get my hands on that fabulous cabinet.. just the thing for my art supplies!!!! xx
Thank you so much Olive! I would love to have that cabinet and all those wonderful old jars and other items! x Teje
I had to scroll back up for the donuts.
I love seeing the hanging uniforms as well.
Thank you Samantha! I smiled when I saw those donats! This was a lovely place to visit! x Teje
wow this is beautiful and so very interesting teje. i’d love to look around this museum. thank you for sharing, i’ve really enjoyed!
Thank you Lori! I enjoyed visiting this small museum. I guess the farmacist lived there, because one room was like a bedroom with those dresses, tea tray and even a lace crochet on a table! x Teje
Ooooo I love things like this. I have a morbid curiosity for old surgical things… Can’t help it, I’m just weird
Thank you for your nice comment! What it is that we like to see those medical things and watch ‘hospital’ series in tv?! This was so lovely place to visit! x Teje
Thanks for sharing more of your trip Teje. That’s lovely to see that the old shop has been preserved, its lovely to see moments of time long gone. There is amazing medical museum I visited with my daughter in London. Despite us both being in the medical professions we have a great interest in old medicine.
Jane x
Thank you so much Jane, for your lovely comment! I would love to visit London with enough time to see that museum and so meny others museums, too! x Teje
Ok Teje! I think I NEED a cupboard like that!! Lots of little drawers and shelves for sewing treasures. Also, it is nice and shallow so it doesn’t take up too much of the floor space. I hope you and pooch are feeling better. Avis x
Thank you Avis for your sweet thoughts! I’m fine but was worried about the puppy – fortunately she is happy and well again! Those old furnitures and drawers are amazing – wish we could have them for our supplies and treasuries! x Teje
Looks lovely
What a lovely museum! I’m particularly drawn to that cupboard with all those little drawers and the medicine bottles lined up on the shelves.
Thank you Fiona! I can see that all we would love to have that old lovely cupboard! It’s beautiful and would be so perfect for all kind of crafty things! x Teje
Once again, thanks for sharing. Looks like a great place to visit! It is all so beautifully displayed.
Thank you for joining and for your lovely words! x Teje
Thank you so much for your visit and comment! I’m so happy to hear you are in Finland! I wish I could visit Helsinki with lots of time, because there are also so great museums which I have seen only as a child.
x Teje
These old museums are always so wonderful. Thank you for sharing. I especially took a good look at the beautiful rug underneath the donuts and the amazing wall hanging above the bed. The embroidered roses are amazing.
Thank you so much, Dorien for your nice comment! Old places and museums are so full of lovely things! x Teje
Thank you for sharing. My son will be in Pharmacy school in the fall. Not sure if your museum is enough to make me visit Kouvola, but I am going to forward this post to him.
Thank you Kathy! If you have time to look outside of Helsinki, you could visit Porvoo and Raasepori, where are lots of lovely places! x Teje
That looks like an interesting place. Thanks for sharing it.
