Hello and welcome! Good week for everyone! I had again yesterday sewing Sunday and I made a shoulder bag. Today when taking photos I tried to find a name for it. It has a modern feeling – it has a town – it is modern monday at Megan’s today – I think my new bag looks ‘Monday in Town’!
Sometimes it’s nice and relaxing to work with less colours. Perhaps for your surprise, grey has always been my favourite colour! And white … of course! You may think if there is any colour I don’t like … hmmm … there are some colours I don’t like at all.
As you have seen so often, I have always company – inside and outside – so I asked Hanna to show herself so you can imagine the size of the bag.
This fabric is from Ikea and it is a little bit firm. I have used soft wadding and thin cotton for the quilting.
I sew the circle quilting by my ‘free motion way’ = I don’t measure on count the distances = I just start from the center and go around and around and around …
The linen is cotton fabric with pastell coloured polka dots and there is a zipper pocket.
I made this good size and very practical bag with the same design like my ‘Favourite bag’ and this bag.
Ouside we met one strange guy! Or perhaps she was a girl because there were so loooooong legs!
You see it down on the wall – she is quite big!

Beautiful bag, Teje. I like the quilted spiral in contrast to the straight lines of the fabric’s pattern and I love the neutral colours.
Do your dogs mind you sewing? I’ve been trying to sew this afternoon and Pip has constantly complained about it. She wants to go outside or come back in (it’s too cold to leave the door open now) or she wants me to throw her ball or store her … I’m not allowed to sew today!!
Thank you Fiona! Sometimes my dogs also want all the time my attension and I have to play with them but mostly Hanna is sleeping in my sewing room and others are in their hobbies around. Now I’m sewing in our small attic and the stairs are very steep (?) and only Nelli and me are upstairs. That makes Hanna sad and I feel forry for her. x Teje

Hi Teje, Your bag looks great. I love the spiral quilting. It goes with the geometric pattern in the fabric. Ikea have some interesting fabrics. They have some bird ones I like. Hanna has a look that says ‘It is about time you stopped sewing and came downstairs’. Perhaps you will have to bring her back a treat when you go to town

Somehow I missed this one. I am finding that gray is one of my new favorite colors, too! It sits well with so many other colors! Tell Nero I missed him in the photos, but the girls look good.
