Hello Sweet Friends!!!
With Nero we welcome you to read our woollen post! But the most important thing today is to thank you so much for thinking Nero! I’m so touched about all your sweet words about him and advices what could help him! He is happy and playful and I don’t think he has much pain because he don’t avoid any movements. In fact I feel that running is more comfortable than walking for the moment. He takes medicin in the morning and the evening and now he starts also the cod liver oil. He is very happy and that’s good!
Wool is so wonderful material! And beautiful! It gives so soft and facinating look for the colours! Now and then I have made some felting and some tiny things. These qute balls are still waiting the right moment to become ‘something’.
One of the qute woollen balls, in my favorite blue colour, found the perfect place here.
This is a band to keep the hairs away from the face. I found this lovely idea from Maya. She writes beautiful blog and I love her ideas and natural materials she is using. Sometimes the moment is just right – like when I saw this – I had all the materials ready and also needed this for my too long hair. So in no time I had made this great, practical band.
If you make felted ‘ribbons’, you can create many lovely items with them. The spiral on my hair-band is a ‘ribbon’ like this. Also even you like to use the ‘ribbon’ later for something else, it’s possible because you don’t need to cut it.
This is an other simple way to make a necklace. I like jewelleries – who doesn’t – but also I like simple things with natural materials. Those keramic ‘beads’ I have found from Athens quite many years ago. There was a great shop, big shop, full of things to make jewelleries!
This turqoise is of couse my favorite! It has a special metal item from Finnish ‘Kalevalakoru’.

Turquoise is my all time favourite colour, I love your felty goodies, gorgeous!

I totally agree with you Teje: wool is wonderful. And so is your shawlette. Big hugs.

What a beautiful shawl, Teje!! I like the crochet edging very much.
Hello Teje I loved seeing all your wool and felty goodness – the aqua colour was my favourite! The shawl you made is really beautiful, I love the colour and texture and the pretty crochet edging. Have a lovely day! Helen x
Such beautiful wool projects! I love working with wool and wearing it too.
I used to let my dog clean the dish too! They are good helpers, aren’t they. I wonder if my cats would try it -HA!
Nero, I am so glad that you are doing well. x
Teje, your felting is so lovely. I once tried to make felt balls but they all came out with bottoms on them! Quite funny but not the effect that I was after.

Hi Teje,
Lovely felts! I would love to try out the felt jewelry also at some point but who would give me a few extra hours to my days
Yours are wonderful!
And also, I loved your custom-work on last post! And that fabric with birds is just adorable, would you share where you got it, please? I definitely could find use for that too
Happy weekend soon!
Yours,
Mia
Dear Mia, we really could use some extra hours every day! That ‘garden’ faric is from Ikea – I hope you find it. For the moment I have also my kitchen curtains with that fabric. We don’t have Ikea in Crete, only in Athens and Thessaloniki. So when my hb goes to Athens I always ask him to bring something. When he was looking this fabric first time (I had seen it in the katalog), they didn’t have it, but one other time he found it. So perhaps they bring it again if you don’t find it now. I have got many lovely fabrics from there! And pieces with good price! Sunny weekend! xxx Teje
Hello Mia!
I send you a reply from my comments on dashboard, but I’m not sure if it comes to yur e-mails or stays only in my comments. I have found that garden fabric from Ikea. I hope you find it! They have many lovely fabrics and also pieces with good prices! Sunny weekend Teje
Such beautiful creations, you have been very busy
. I really love the braided blue bracelet – how have you managed to hide the ends? I expected to see a lumpy join, but it is hiding!
Hi Teje…what a creative time you’ve been having…I can just imagine you wearing all those things..not at once of course. I love the ends of the black wool cord…really interesting. The shawl is exquisite.
I was just thinking that maybe some of the middle layer of your pie found it’s way to the bottom of the dish..overflowed or seeped into the pastry…because it would probably be the sugar that would make the pie stick to the dish.
I am glad Nero is not in pain!

Your package has arrived! Thank you so much! And I can’t believe I now own one of your beautiful pieces of felted wool art! The cushions are absolutely delightful…they look like pieces of Greece…the georgeous colours and stitching!
Thank you Teje…I am now sorry I have to pass them on.
Hi Carol! I’m glad you got the packet – I didn’t expect it to come so quickly! I hope those cushions give colour to someone’s home. You are welcome – I was happy to have a chance to give to you also a small suprise. If you haven’t seen my post about them, you can put it on your candle glass, flower vase or perhaps you find even new way to use that felt. Have a lovely time! xxx Teje
I’m so happy to know you and Nero here. You’re so artistic and creative and those that you made are really gorgeous.
Thanks for stopping by our blog and gave us such kind comment, we will come by again.
Wool IS wonderful and so are your projects, your dogs, and your stories!! I loved how your wrote about getting together with your Finnish friends. I’ve been known to be kicked out of restaurants at closing time because my friends and I are too busy talking to notice the time! Good friends!
Thank you for linking up to Fibers on Friday!
I totally agree, wool is wonderful, you have quite a project gallery there!
Thank you so much, Teje!
I’m living quite far away from IKEA unfortunately, but I hope one of my friends could visit and check if it’s still there. That is a lovely fabric!
Thank you so much for your quick answer, Teje!
Happiest weekend!
Yours,
Mia

Oh my gosh, my Mom used to tell a story about a lady that said her dishes were as clean as 3 waters could get them. Sounds quite sanitary…until you learn that ThreeWaters was her cat! LOL Your felting is beautiful. I love the purple/green combination and your shawlette is such a rich color and looks so cozy. Happy Fiber Arts Friday!
Love the necklace ideas. They’re beautiful. This post was full of gorgeous eye candy. Thanks for linking up to FTF Teje. Great to see you again.
The edging on that shawl is fabulous!
I’m glad that Nero is doing alright. Your work in wool is beautiful, love the blue and turquoise. And the shawl is amazing Teje! The soft grey and the crochet border is just beautiful. Have a great weekend!

I adore your photography. It is so much fun to look at your projects. I love all of the ideas you showed you can do with simple felting techniques.
Thank you.
Happy Fiber Arts Friday!

Thank you for clarifying what the felt is…I am happier that it is decorative and will find somewhere special for it! I am so pleased to have something that you have made.
I love wool too-love all your projects too
Hello Teje, I’ve never seen a more ecofriendly dishwasher! What a great idea. I love the way you are working with all that yarn. I love felting, but unfortunately I get rash on my hands doing it, so no more felting for me. I used to do it with kids age 5 or 6, we used pebbles and felted around them, cut the felt open, and they had their own little treasure in a pocket!
Thank you for your nice comment on my blog. I tried to reply it, but that didn’t work, there is no mailadress attached; is that right, or am I doing something wrong?
groetjes, Dorien
Hello Dorien, Thank you for writing! Felting with pebbles sounds very nice! With e-mail something is not right but I don’t know what I should do. Of course it should be shown that my friends can reply! I hope I find where to fix that. I was loughing that ecofriendly dishwasher…hadn’t thought it! I wish you sunny weekend! Xxx Teje

First, may I tell you that I am astounded. I know an American man who spent two years in Finland and came back saying that the Finn language was very difficult to learn – to master. And I have heard that English, also, is very difficult to master. The languages are so different. I speak enough French to ask questions, but can’t understand the answers. Language is beautiful and mysterious, but I don’t think I could ever understand another language well enough to say real things, important things, using it. And NEVER be able to write in it. How did you come to be able to use English so very well? To go from Finnish to English – and live in Greece, where I’m certain you speak that, too? What a mind you must have -= all that, and all of this creating also. I love Nero. I want to bury my hands in his ruff. Thank you for opening a door into your life.
by the way – I think you did come to my own place. I want to tell you that the page for all the projects of the last few years was broken, in case you wanted to see it. I don’t take care of those pages well. But I fixed it this afternoon. Thank you so much for coming. I wish it had been possible for you to bring Nero with you -
What a sweet blog! And I love your felted pieces. I am a fan of felting, particularly needlefelting so I really loved seeing these. I also loved the grey shawl.
Thanks for sharing. I found you through Fiber Arts Friday.
Ooooh I love the wool headband and the necklaces you made. Your shawl is stunning as well. Wool is a great FTF its one of mine too
