Hello my Friends!!!!!!!
It’s an evening and usually I write a little bit earlier – but now I want to show you what I made this evening especially for You!!! A Christmas Challenge with Angels!
Sorry if it looks a little bit strange…this is my Christmas Challenge (with many others) and when trying to take these photos I felt that photografing was the biggest challenge in this project…
In the afternoon I was looking my Christmas notebook and found an old piece of newspaper… I think sent by my sister… and there was the ‘forgotten angel’. I never made the angel even I liked it very much! Now I wanted to make it so that I can show you this lovely decoration!
The idea is to use treasures like these…I didn’t count on my talent so I usead for this first angel some ‘fake’ lace I had.
For the head you can use those white balls which are suitable for needle felting. Put the ball in the middle of the lace and tight it with thread ‘in the neck’. I didn’t have those ‘white balls’ so I made the head from cotton. That’s not so good because you can’t pass even the wire. If you use the ‘white ball’ you can needle felt the face and to fix the hair.
Make with thicker wire a circle and around that with thin wire you can put pearls.
Then add 4 ribbons (each about 30 cm) to the circle (you can use 2 ribbons each 60 cm – then you don’t need a knot at the up end but you just catch them with wire, which is going to be also a small circle for hanging.
I think this idea is lovely… so I shall make an other one… better one…or perhaps many angels, with some different material.
Please don’t mind about these bad photos – I just couldn’t wait till tomorrow to show you this Angel and I hope you liked it enough to make yours! If you would like more photos about the details to see how it’s easy to make, please tell me!

A beautiful angel Teje, what a simple yet clever idea!! Looks great hanging up there in your home – and those felty hearts, so pretty too!! You are such a clever lady
My goodness, those temperatures sound wonderful – just now we heard that we are going to reach minus 10 degrees tonight…never so cold before, I don’t like it at all and will be happy when all this nasty snow melts and we get our Autumn back!
Sending love to sunny Greece,
Julia x x x
Dear Julia, I’m happy if you like this angel! Weather news doesn’t sound too good! I hope it’s soon back to normal! Xxx Teje
Hi Teje, what a charming angel you have made, so lovely.
We are under an blanket of snow here in the UK- I put some snowy photos on my blog today…brrrr it’s SO cold. How wonderful that you can still sit on the beach, we would get frostbite here!!
Take care and enjoy your sunshine.

Those angels really are sweet!
It is extremely cold here, we have used it as an excuse to stay in our pyjamas and dressing gowns today.
It must be so lovely to go to a nice warm beach. Although I do agree with you that the bizarre temperatures are quite scary.

Hello Teje! Thank you for showing us the Angel idea – such a beautiful project. I have recently been given a lot of old lace edged hankies by a friend – and now I have a good idea of what to do with some of them! I love the felt hearts too. How amazing that your weather is sooo hot while ours is sooo cold – strange extremes. I don’t remember snow here before Christmas. Enjoy your evening and your lovely crafts. Helen x
Thanks Teje, you are so thoughtful! Love the angel, I can feel your heart in it!
The weather in my place seems to be the same as yours, it’s hot and sunny all day!!! Yes, that’s really amazing when our weather now is sooooo hot while the others must have a heater!
Enjoy our life, no matter how.
Thanks again for your lovely post, it’s lovely as always!
