Hello my Lovely Friends!!! Good Month!!! “Kalo Mina”!!!
Every first day of month, Greeks wish Good Month to each others! And now we have December – the magic month with Christmas – so there is even more wishings around!!! Finally it’s the 1st of December or do you feel ‘already’…I hope you have enough time for all the creations you have in your mind!
I have seen so many wonderful crafts and decorations when ‘travelling in The Blogworld’ these last days. I like to show you some of my Christmas things and also give many links to see lovely ideas!
This table cloth I have made for my sister (last Christmas, so I can show it). It was somehow the beginning for my patchworks.
That ‘Heart purse’ is to keep for example napkins or any other small things.
“Knicky Knacks’ has lots of Christmas creations! There is also ‘Handmade Christmas Challenge’, where you can join and add your link with your Christmas Challenge! Visit to see how you can join and also to find many lovely blogs! I have add also button on my sidelist if you like to find it later.
My old, rusty frying pan has now the Snowstar garland! Perhaps it’s not exactly what I had in my mind…but quite close. For the moment there is only small stones and one big white candle…but one day I shall ’find’ what other decorations there will be!
Most of us loves to crochet and it’s so good way to make decorations! Lucy from ‘attic24′ has started new crochet things…marvellous and of course colourful - Christmas stars etc…. I’m waiting to go to visit her again because I opened her blog just when it was lunch time…and then I went for a walk with Hanna…
What it is that makes ric-rac so lovable?! I was so happy last week when I found ric-rac in few colours from my yarnshop! It’s a little bit desperate situation here to find any materials…. but now I know what to do if I don’t find ric-rac! We can crochet it by our selves!!! – I had never thought that! You can find easy tutorial from Foxs La ! I was visiting Jenni from Baa-me Kniits and saw again so much really wonderful crafts – she has always so beautiful fabrics! Jenni has made lovely dress with crochet ric-rac and also she has joined that ‘Handmade Christmas Challenge’.
So many fantastic Christmas socks every where…I feel mine is so simple…it’s from the last Christmas so perhaps it’s time to create a new one …
These last days I have been busy with olives and some other small works at home where I was needed as a ‘handyman’. Before olives, I was working with wool and felting and I’m still going to do some more felting. Here is one finnished felt-picture.
Do You know Mia from minspiration ? She makes so beautiful yarns, also she is knitting, crocheting and felting. Now she has collected some beautiful items for Christmas inspirations! Go to see!
Here it is still sunny and really warm weather – but of course this time of the year it can change any time! In many other countries I can hear that winter has came very early this year and it is already really Christmas weather! It is so beautiful but on the other hand so cold and sometimes difficult with lots of snow and very low temperatures.
My Finnish friend Katja, who is writing with Ronja, has took amazing photos about fantastic art that nature has created with snow and ice! It’s really worth of visiting – and meet also the most beautiful Leonberg ‘Ronja’!
An other patchwork table cloth with Christmas atmosphere!

Ah Teje, you are a breath of fresh air – I love the way you write, you remind me very much of a Finnish student I once had the pleasure to live with (her name is Katja too) and I hear her in the way you write…that’s nice for me
I love your patchwork, and your felting. Your blog is becoming a little light for me in these dark, cold winter days! We are watching the snow fall as I write, there’s about 16 inches now, it looks quite beautiful but we cannot leave the village as the roads are too dangerous!
Sending love, will be looking out for the postman with his parcel of sunshine.

Dear Julia, how nice coincinence with Finnish Katja. My cousin is also Katja. I’m so happy if you find light and sun from my blog! It’s always pleasure to meet you! Xxx Teje
the postman has truly left the sun behind today…. thanks for the lovely blog with such great Christmas ideas. Here in England (where I live anyway) we say White Rabbits on the first of the month, but only if there is an ‘r’ in the month. Not sure why. I look out my window and it is snowing…… glad I’m indoors reading your sunshine blog. xxx
Dear Olive, I had to count the months with ‘r’ and there is none in summer time, when it’s hard to find a white rabbit…I love that and defenetely shall use it! So ‘White Rabbits’ to you! (I hope you don’t hunt…) Xxx Teje
Hi Teje, Happy 1st December to you too. I am also counting down to Christmas on my blog…it is coming so quickly now. It is lovely to see all your crafts outside in the sunshine. Here in the UK we have had heavy snow and we are under a cold blanket…brrr. It’s good to share your sunshine. Your English is super…and SO much better than my few words of Greek. Keep up with your lovely posts.
Love Jane x

Best wishes for the first of the month to you Teje and Nero. What a lovely table cloth you made. I have just read the posts about the olives and really enjoyed the pictures that you posted. It was all very interesting. Thank you!
Another great post Teje
What a beautiful felt-picture, love the colours! Thank you for sharing all your great craft projects.
Dear Anja, thank you for your always lovely comments! Xxx Teje
Teje, that red and white Christmas-y tablecloth is so beautiful! I am going to look at it often and imagine how I can make something similar, and start collecting fabrics to do so! Red and white manages to be both fresh and timeless.
P.S. Nero is gorgeous and needs to be painted!
